EMPLOYMENT

We are accepting applications for the 2022 season!

POSITION

FULL-TIME POSITION

  • mid-April - mid-November

  • Monday-Friday

  • Spring and Fall - 8 or 9am start until 4pm (33-38hrs/wk)

  • Summer - 7am start until 4pm (about 44hrs/wk)

  • July-October - Farmers Market in Boston every Thursday (~10hrs/day)

  • September-October - additional weekend hours are possible

  • $15/hr +

  • No housing is available - must be able to commute by car

  • A full season commitment is required

  • $500 year end bonus for completing the season

PART-TIME POSITION

  • mid-May - end of October

  • Monday-Wednesday

  • Spring and Fall - 8 or 9am start until 4pm (20-23hrs/wk)

  • Summer - 7am start until 4pm (about 26hrs/wk)

  • September-October - additional weekend hours are possible

  • $15/hr +

  • No housing is available - must be able to commute by car

  • A full season commitment is required

  • $300 year end bonus for completing the season

REQUIREMENTS

  • Farming experience a plus but not required

  • Attention to detail

  • Hardworking

  • Can work in any weather (hot, cold, rain to a reasonable extent)

  • Can work alone efficiently

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Primary farm tasks include sowing, transplanting, harvesting, bed prep, trellising

  • Making compost is a big part of our fertility. We make compost every week and monitor temperatures closely

  • Making compost teas & extracts and applying them in the field

  • You will learn all facets of no-till farming including bed prep, cover cropping and preparing for winter

  • In 2022 we will be planting many perennial plants in our newly prepared hedgerow. Planting will mostly be in Spring with maintenance throughout the season

  • Removing all of our remaining landscape fabric into either living pathways or woodchips

  • Establishing our u-pick flower and herb area
